BIOGRAPHYMiami native Oscar Torre is best known for his breakout role as “Santo Gutierrez” in the critically acclaimed CBS TV series CANE starring Jimmy Smits and Rita Moreno. Other television credits include a recurring role as “Javier Lopez” on CSI: MIAMI (CBS) as well as guest starring roles on NCIS (CBS), DOLLHOUSE (FOX) and COLD CASE (CBS) among others.

On May 24th, Torre will appear in the highly anticipated all-star feature film THE HANGOVER III starring Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, John Goodman, and Melissa McCarthy.

Also out this year is the Lionsgate boxing drama COUNTERPUNCH directed by Kenneth Castillo and based on a true story. Torre delivers a knockout performance as Frank, a man drowning in his personal demons while struggling to guide his nephew to a better life – against seemingly impossible odds. The film also stars Danny Trejo and Steven Bauer.

Torre’s first major screen role was in Eduardo Carillo’s SUICIDE BLONDE. Film credits also include HBO’s LARCENY with Roselyn Sanchez, LIBERTAD, and LADRON QUE ROBA A LADRON directed by Joe Menendez. At the time, it had the highest grossing opening weekend box office for a Spanish language film. Torre worked with Menendez again on HUNTING OF MAN opposite Douglas Spain.
